Income Distribution Statistics, 2025

The highest income group's share of total income was 48.0%.

The income data for the 2025 Income and Living Conditions Survey, from which income distribution statistics are calculated, refers to the previous calendar year, 2024. In income calculations, household incomes are converted to equivalent disposable income per capita, taking into account household size and composition.

According to the latest survey results, the share of total income received by the top 20% group with the highest equivalent disposable income per capita decreased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous year, reaching 48.0%, while the share received by the bottom 20% group with the lowest income increased by 0.1 percentage points, reaching 6.4%.

ONE 20% of population means approx. 17 million 218 thousand and 433 people!

We see that the sum of last and fourth quantile the 40th procent of population
approx 34 million 436 thousand people gains the 68% of the yearly income. The rest of
60% (the main population) collects the 31%).  The first statictical data is from 2006
and there, this two quantiles collects the 68.6% of the income. (Data Source:

result of the AKP Justice and Development Party politics. The Win-win politic is
only a matter of the fourth and fifth quantile on the bodies of the Volk.

 Salaries and wages accounted for the largest share of total income, at 49.7%.

Salaries and wages accounted for the largest share of total income, at 49.7%, 
an increase of 0.9 percentage points compared to the previous year.
Entrepreneurial income came in second at 18.3%, a decrease of 2.5 percentage points 
compared to the previous year, while social transfer income ranked third at 18.2%,
showing an increase of 0.4 percentage points compared to the previous year.

Agricultural income accounted for 15.6% of entrepreneurial income, while pensions 
and widow/orphan allowances accounted for 89.3% of social transfers.
